Dresses are a huge part of Stylenutt Boutique's inventory. While they aren't usually my go-to everyday outfit, I still love styling them.
I usually reserve dresses for special occasions; weddings, funerals, conferences, or nice dinners. But just because I don't wear them everyday, doesn't mean that my closet isn't full of them-- or that I love styling them. Dresses have been my favorite thing to purchase for the store. There are so many options, as you know. I've picked a handful to breakdown.
Let's start with my favorite: the fall floral. It's midi length, hitting me right below the knee. While the dress does have pockets, that's not the best thing about it: it's incredibly soft. I have never felt a dress or shirt or even a jacket that's as soft as this. The material checks in at 95% polyester and 5% spandex. The sleeves were a little long on me, I had to pull them up at the elbows. As you can see, I've got this paired with booties, but if it is colder outside, try adding a pair of black tights.
Next is what I'm dubbing the "must have holiday dress." The print screams "Holidays!" This dress is the same style as the fall floral, just with a different pattern. To me, the length feels different on this one, maybe a half inch to an inch longer. It's the same soft fabric as the fall floral: 95% polyester and 5% spandex. This could also be easily paired with tights, or taller boots, even heels.
This shift dress caught my eye when I first ordered a shipment in yellow (see below.) I'm not too crazy about shift dresses on myself, I love them on others. But this dress struck a cord with me. It could have been the bell sleeves, it could have been the pattern, or the keyhole cutout in the back; who knows, but I instantly loved this dress. It's lightweight, has a hi-low hem, and the sleeves give you enough room to move around. Don't you hate it when you have on a dress and you can't move your arms? Not with this style.
This fabric is soft, yet stretchy. It checks in at 100% polyester. Styling this dress is where it gets fun. It's light enough that it can be worn in the spring and summer. A pair of cute strappy sandals would go perfect with this. But since we're well into fall, let's focus on styling this piece for fall. In addition to booties, I would pair this with over the knee boots.
